Disclaimer & Editorial Policy
This page explains what GramFetch is (and isn't), how we strive to provide useful guides despite being a small team, how we align with advertiser and platform policies, and how you should responsibly use downloads.
1. Nature of GramFetch
GramFetch is an independent informational website plus a browser-based helper that retrieves media from URLs you supply. We do not host Instagram feeds, impersonate Meta or Instagram products, sell access to Instagram accounts, or provide software that hacks private profiles. Tools and articles are aimed at lawful, respectful useâfor example creators backing up their own posts, marketers reviewing public campaign creatives they have permission to archive, educators discussing public-interest examples, or anyone saving content they are allowed to reuse.
2. Public content only
Our downloader only interacts with URLs that correspond to publicly viewable Instagram material. Private accounts, locked stories visible only to logged-in viewers, or direct messages fall outside both our technical design and ethical scope. Attempts to circumvent those limits violate our terms of service.
3. Copyright & creator rights
Media on Instagram belongs to creators, licensees, or rightsholdersânot to GramFetch. Downloading something does not grant you redistribution rights. You are responsible for compliance with applicable copyright and contract law before republishing or commercially using any file we help you retrieve. When in doubt, negotiate permission first. Educational commentary, criticism, backup of your own work, or personal archiving may be permitted in specific jurisdictionsâbut we do not advise on legal outcomes case by case.
For reports of infringing use of GramFetch URLs or abusive bulk scraping, contact us with clear identifying information.
4. Trademarks & third parties
"Instagram" is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. GramFetch is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Meta. Other brand names appearing in guides compare common industry tools for transparency; mentioning a product does not imply partnership.
5. Editorial standards for our blog
Guides on the blog are written to be actionable and device-specific where possible (e.g., iPhone vs Android screen flows change with OS releases). Articles are periodically reviewed and updated dates may change when substantive edits land. Corrections belong in-context; if you spot a factual error after an Instagram redesign, tell us the article URL and screenshot.
- We prioritize user safetyâno phishing, no prompting for IG passwords inside our downloader UI.
- We avoid malware or deceptive "bait" pages that mimic official Instagram login portals.
- We explain limitations honestly (bitrate caps, carousel batching quirks, outages when IG changes).
6. No guarantee of uptime or results
Social APIs and front-end fingerprints shift without notice; a downloader can work today and need adjustment tomorrow. GramFetch provides the service âas-isâ without warranty of uninterrupted access or suitability for any particular purpose beyond what the law mandates. See limiting clauses in our terms of service.
7. Advertising disclosure (Google AdSense)
Portions of GramFetch display third-party advertisements through Google AdSense when enabled. Advertising helps keep core tools free. Google may collect or process data pursuant to Google's technologies & partner sites disclosure.
You can configure ad personalization in your Google Ads Settings and learn more about cookies in our privacy policy. We do not allow ads that incentivize infringing downloads or counterfeit goods.
8. Relationship to Adsense reviewer expectations
We maintain easily discoverable originals: substantive policies, readable contact channel, explanatory tool copy, refreshed guides, transparent limits, no login walls stripping context, and a clear delineation between editorial word and transactional UI labels. Thin placeholder pages undermine trust; expanding these documents and blog intros is deliberate so visitorsâhuman or crawlerâreceive immediate explanatory valueânot only a lone input box.
