About GramFetch
GramFetch is a free, independent web tool for saving public Instagram posts, plus practical guides on doing it safely and responsibly.
What GramFetch does
You paste a link to a public Instagram post, Reel, video, IGTV video or carousel, and GramFetch fetches the media files Instagram already serves to logged-out visitors, so you can save them to your device. It works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android and desktop, without an app or an Instagram login.
It can't download Stories, Highlights, private accounts or anything that requires signing in. We would rather be clear about those limits than ask you for your Instagram password. Read more on how it works.
Privacy by design
- No account, no sign-up, and we never ask for Instagram credentials.
- We don't keep copies of the media you download or a history of the links you paste.
- Details about hosting logs, cookies and ads are in our Privacy Policy.
Who writes our guides
Guides on the GramFetch blog are written and maintained by the GramFetch editorial team, the people who build and run the downloader. Our standards:
- Steps describe what Instagram and phone operating systems actually do, and we update them when those change.
- Each guide shows a "last updated" date. We only change that date when the content has been reviewed or edited.
- We say plainly what GramFetch can't do, and we don't make claims about other tools that we can't check.
- Guides about copyright and legality explain general principles and are not legal advice.
- Spotted a mistake? Tell us and we will correct it.
How GramFetch is funded
GramFetch is free to use and is paid for by Google AdSense advertising. Ads are labelled "Advertisement" and kept separate from the download buttons. There are no paid plans and no sponsored rankings. More in our Disclaimer & Editorial Policy.
Independence and similar names
GramFetch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Other websites and apps use similar-sounding names. GramFetch is the website at www.gramfetch.com; an app, extension or social account using a similar name is not ours unless it is linked from this site.
Use it responsibly
Public doesn't mean free to reuse. Save content for personal viewing, backups of your own posts, or with the creator's permission, and credit creators when you share. Our guide Is it legal to download Instagram content? explains the basics.
